Hotel Wilshire Meet Up Event

Meet up! Meet up! Meet up!  As you can tell, I’m pretty excited about the next meet up for our own Los Angeles Consortium of Online Travel. It’s been a while, and we have a lot to catch up on. The next LACOT meet up will be at The Hotel Wilshire on October 24, from 7PM – 9PM. Honestly, this is going to be a lovely event. The Hotel Wilshire is a new(ish) AAA Four Diamond hotel, and it’s LEED certified.  Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design certification involves qualified independent verification that the hotel incorporates sustainable practices like energy efficiency, water savings and more. A luxury boutique hotel on Wilshire right around Fairfax, that also works toward making our city and planet a better place? Awesome.

 The Hotel Wilshire partnered with the Clean the World program. You’ve probably heard of what Clean the World does; that’s the nonprofit that takes old hotel shampoos and soaps and recycles/redistributes them. Such an easy way to make a difference…and if you saw my Secret Shame which is my bathroom’s cabinet, you’d know that I should donate some (read: probably a hundred) hotel soaps and shampoos myself. I could take a lesson from The Hotel Wilshire, apparently.

Those of you who have been to a LACOT meet up know how fun it is to get together and hang out with our fellow travel-loving brethren. There’s a surprise or two in store for the evening, along with wine and noshes. Love the wine and noshes! Oh, and guess what? Parking is taken care of. You read that right — no worries about a big valet bill at the end of the evening at the Hotel Wilshire. And no, that’s not the surprise. You’ll just have to come and find out what it is, yourself.
