September is California Wine Month! Well, okay, for some of us every month is wine month — but Governor Jerry Brown really did proclaim that September is officially California Wine Month. Considering all the other things that get official days and weeks and months, it seems only right that California’s wineries get a month of recognition. After all, vineyards and wine production are an integral, wonderful part of our state’s rich history. Not to mention the California lifestyle! Come be a part of California Wine Month in a fun, social way: California Wines Road Trip Tastings include a stop in Los Angeles. On September 6, in Beverly Hills, Angelenos can come sample many of the world-famous, award-winning top-rated wines from California.
There are over 50 events throughout the month of September to celebrate California Wine Month; most events are in the Napa Valley/Sonoma wine growing region, Temecula, or the Paso Robles wine growing region. San Francisco and Los Angeles are the two cities that get their own “virtual road trip” of California wine growing regions…aren’t we lucky? The Los Angeles pit stop of the California Wines Road Trip is September 6th, like I said, at the Peninsula Beverly Hills Hotel from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM. Here is the eventbrite to RSVP (it’s $60 a pop).
Tickets are extremely limited due to the popularity of this event. Attendees will taste more than 60 California wines, with small plates. The winemakers and growers will be on hand to answer questions or just chitchat…and obviously, only RSVP if you are 21 years old or over.
